Ever had one of those days when it seemed like everything that could go wrong did go wrong? Entrepreneurship is not as easy as some stories embellish. For some, it will be easier to get the business up and running than others. You read a story about how he or she started a business in their garage and five minutes later their success was multinational, meanwhile something else falls apart in your business. What happens when things go wrong with your business? Should you quit and give up? No. The GOD-centered business owner remembers the promises of GOD. Be Content with GOD not the Situation No one likes uncomfortable situations. Many bible authors were given words by GOD to enable us to hear the promises HE made to us. Paul writes in Hebrews 13:5. “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’" (NIV) Lack of money sometimes brings on major worries. The love of money means the greedy will never have enough and will worry no matter how much money they have. GOD wants us to be content through all stages in life. While waiting on the business to make the first bit of revenue, be content with GOD, knowing HE is in this with you and you are not alone. Be Obedient to GOD’s Commands to Keep a Clear Conscience Matthew 28:20 “and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, to the end of the age.” (GNT) Following GOD requires surrender to HIS ways. HE will sometimes allow you to try your own way and when things fail, HE is there to pick you up. But HE would rather that you show HIM the same faithfulness HE showed you. HE promises to be with you. Keeping a clear conscience helps when life's storms come. You can be assured you have been forgiven for all sins. This provides confidence that the storm is not punishment, rather a trial to grow you and make you stronger. Be Guided Isaiah 42:16 I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them. (NIV) Confused and don’t know where to turn? GOD will guide you out of difficult situations. HIS specialty is seeing all blind spots and delivering HIS sheep to green pastures. GOD is willing to guide you, remove barriers and make the difficult easy. Following GOD enables hope that others do not have. You can show others that, while life can get difficult, you have GOD’s promises to rely on. Next I will discuss a pertinent leadership style that supports GOD’s promises.
